Happy New Year!

Updated: Jan 3, 2023

Happy New Year! I'm excited to kick off 2023 with a challenge that focuses on personal growth. I'm excited to meet with you tomorrow on ZOOM @ 11am. Here's the link, if you can't make let me know and I'll send you the recording. Please send me any questions that you have ahead of time and I would love to cover them in the ZOOM call. All questions are good questions, it's likely someone else has the same question.

New Year, new start, new me.

What are your resolutions for this New Year? I dedicate one page of my bullet journal to my resolutions each year. But I found it more and more challenging to stick to them.

If you are like me, struggling to keep the New Year momentum going after the 1st of January, you are not alone.

Researchers from the University of Scranton found from studies that, 64% of those who made New Year resolutions successfully stick to them in a month. But the number dropped to 46% after six months.

In other words, less than half of us resolutionists make it through the first half of the year.

So should we call it a quit this year and tear off that page of goals from our journal?

Absolutely not.

It’s never time or our attitude that is stopping us from achieving our goals for the new year. For most of us, false hope syndrome is the one to blame. Unrealistic goals and resolutions, for most of us, are not a motivator. Instead, they become an emotional burden as time goes by. It’s frustrating to even think about them because they are far beyond our reach.

So this year, to start off the next 365 days strong, we need a more reasonable resolution. Leave out those extreme claims to lose 10 pounds in a month. Instead, choose more practical goals like drink eight glasses of water and the habits that the 75 SOFT challenge will help us create!

Bring on 2023... one day at a time, I'm here for it!

-Amanda
